February 1945, pg. 56. The page numbers were sequential throughout the whole year, so the article on the gondola was actually the first story in the Feb issue. Those gons were really something.

That model was scratch built by Joe Giannovario. His write up is partly visible in the image and it states the plans were from a 1945 Model Railroader. Sadly, Joe passed this June.
